Green Glory – Part 1 {OOTD}

IMG_0280

Spring has arrived but with it has come all types of weather – so much so that my heater and fan are currently standing side by side, waiting to see what happens. It has been hot, cold, windy and rainy so I guess we will get through it and meet summer at the end 🙂 Now, that is something I am definitely looking forward to! Continue reading

Ever since I was a little girl, I was more of a tomboy and my closet consisted mainly of jeans and tees with a mass of sneakers. I think I only owned my first pair of sandals when I turned 17 and decided that I kinda needed a bit of a feminine element in my wardrobe. To be honest, I am still building my collection of this and heels slowly but I am determined to stay true to myself and keep my sneakers , hi-tops and converse as part of my fashion bio. They are still my faves! Continue reading

{OOTD} Brave and Free

IMG_17091With the dreaded Winter months upon us now – there isn’t much time to go for a dip in the beach or look forward to the long days when the sun sets super late. There is an unmistakeable chill in the air and I much prefer staying home while I snuggle in my warm blanky than venture outdoors. Anybody else feel the same way? Continue reading

{OOTD} Hipster

IMG_1429

This comfy, casual, holiday look was on my camera and it wasn’t until this past weekend when I finally decided to download all my pics that I discovered it. It was taken on a family mini-vacay some time ago and we had so much fun that I am eagerly awaiting the next one. Think playing 30 seconds, tasty charred braai meat, lots of laughs, the kids running around and simply being surrounded by the people I love.

Ah, bliss ❤

I wanted to be really relaxed and chilled for this weekend so I opted for my trusty pair of boyfriend denims with some distressed detail and my white plimsolls which proved to be one of my good (but still inexpensive) fashion buys. When I saw this top, I imagined walking around in it while everyone wondered how I could think I was the ‘real hipster’ LOL. Well, I am – hahahhahahha- jokes…

I accessorised with my midi/knuckles rings and this cute Billabong cap with a palm tree charm attached to the top of it. My black and white striped , funky Neff watch and mirror aviator sunnies finished off my holiday look.

What are your must-have fashion items when on holiday?

{OOTD} Construction

IMG_0113

Hi Everybody!

Hubby and I were out shopping and never failing to miss a photo op – I found this construction site that was super secluded. Maybe not the safest idea I’ve ever had but hey, I am a bit dangerous that way 🙂

These Adidas sneakers are everything and I find any excuse to put them on. They are absolutely comfortable and I am not embarrassed to say that I am utterly obsessed with them. At first I was a bit sceptical as I hadn’t owned something like this before but my hubby encouraged me to buy it and I am so glad I did!

This is my first River Island purchase and I am impressed with the quality and wear of this tee. I will definitely be purchasing from them again.

I bought the La Mer watch online at Superbalist and I thought I would mix it in with this sporty, active look for a touch of girliness. The chains on this watch mean you can wear it up or down and it looks so pretty – love it! ❤

Then last but not least, I got this embossed cap from Foschini. Rather than going with the regular trucker cap – I thought this one too adds a little femininity to this look. What do you think?

Y’all know I aint a high heels and sequins kinda gal (well, at least not all the time) so hope you liked this look 🙂

p.s. Please excuse the madness that happened in the last pic haha – hair all over the place and hands looking a bit crazy …  But I posted it so you can share in the last minute ideas that sound good at the time…but erm, don’t translate that well in a photo. Eek!
